Mi ani Timepass

Now this is one serious issue! There is no word like 'Timepass' in the dictionary. Here is one word we so regularly use in our everyday lingo and yet it doesn't find a mention in the any of the dictionaries...Oxford, Websters...none! Ghor apman! They must have some explanation for this.

Perhaps I can enlighten them with a few meanings....take a look.

Timepass 1: Just pasing away time doing nothing.
Ex: अरे train नेमकी late होती। मग काय २ तास नुसता 'timepass' केला!

Timepass 2: Conviniently forgetting the important (and not so exciting) issues and indulging into lesser important ones.
Ex: उद्या तुझा paper आहे अणि तुला आज जाग येते आहे! इतके दिवस काय 'timepass' करत होतीस?

Timepass 3: Casually involving oneself into something (or someone) without any serious intensions.
Ex: That gal XYZ.......is she your girlfriend? Or is she just 'timepass'?

Timepass 4: Buying time to think of a proper reply.
Ex: जल्दी बता यार! 'timepass' मत कर!

Timepass 5: Sometimes confused with 'time waste'.
Ex: Sir class में आके बस 'timepass' ही तो करवाते हैं! :D

PS: There are some more examples of 'timepass' that I have come across. But didn't really understand their meanings...like कसला 'timepass picture' आहे! All the readers are requested to contribute their interpretations of 'timepass'....perhaps we can add to the knowledge of those at The Oxford and The Webster's.......enough of timepass for now! I have better things to do! Till then cheerssssss guys! Majjani life! :) :) :)
